Our client, an international investment bank in Frankfurt, is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join their Credit Risk Control division as a VP. Locally, this will be a standalone role embedded within an international team. Therefore, the client is looking for an experienced candidate who is able to challenge senior stakeholders as well as who brings gravitas to present results and standpoints in several committees.
The role will include:
• Establish a new independent Credit Risk control function within the German entity
• Work closely with multiple functions and stakeholders throughout the banking group
• Credit Risk reporting to relevant Risk committees
• Enhance Credit Risk governance framework in close coordination with Credit Risk function
• Control responsibility for limit breaches as well as escalation of such cases
• Improvement of the Credit Risk inventory
• Challenge Credit Risk function on matters of risk appetite in correlation to portfolio limits
• Interaction with Credit Risk Officers in the EMEA region
• Contact person for internal and external stakeholders with regards to Credit Risk Control
• Continuous risk reporting and monitoring of risk parameters. Recommend risk mitigation options according to the bank’s risk appetite.
• Analysis of new products processes against the risk system
• Responsibility for daily Credit Risk number production oversight, validation of exposure movements
• Responsible for risk management in a timely manner. Make sure actions are taken and ownership is taken properly
• Functional reporting line to EMEA Head of Credit Risk Control in London. Local reporting line to the board (more specifically, Chief Risk Officer)
The position requires:
• Several years of experience in Credit Risk Control, ideally in an investment banking environment
• OTC/SFT product knowledge highly desirable
• Fluent English language skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, gravitas to interact on a senior management level

Im Jahr 2019 beendete er mit Auszeichnung ein MBA-Studium, das seine Kenntnisse in sämtlichen Aspekten des Risikomanagements, Strategie und Management vertiefte.
